On Friday, March 27th, Prime Minister Hassan Diab announced that the government was able to allocate a large sum for medical supplies to fight coronavirus.

The Cabinet recently declared that Lebanon is in a state of extreme danger due to the rapid increase of coronavirus cases. In a matter of five days, there have been an additional 143 positive cases.

Meanwhile, the hospitals have been struggling with a lack of medical supplies. Earlier this week, the UK donated $400K worth of medical supplies to Lebanon, and designer Tony Ward began producing bedsheets for Lebanese hospitals.
