Lebanon women’s volleyball team continued its strong performances in the first West Asian Volleyball Championship (WAVA) held in Amman, Jordan.
It recorded its 3rd consecutive win against its Syrian counterpart, with a score of 3-2 (25-20, 24-26, 26-24, 23-25, 16-14), after beating Palestine and Iraq, with a score 3-0 in both matches.
The Lebanese national team will conclude its matches in the 1st round by meeting the Saudi national team on Saturday, and the result of the match will not affect its lead in Group A.
It is worth noting that 10 teams are participating in the tournament, divided into 2 groups:
- Group A: Palestine, Syria, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Lebanon
- Group B: United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and Jordan
