The Beirut-based Armenian restaurant Mayrig continues to expand beyond the borders and has now landed at the Crowne Plaza West Cairo Arkan, an IHG HotelCairo, Egypt.
Mayrig has been offering fusion Armenian delicacies and a menu filled with traditional recipes and spices since 2003.
The restaurant first opened in an old house in Gemmayze, where it serves homemade Armenian and Lebanese-inspired dishes with kebab and shawarmas, among others.
Mayrig has many branches in Lebanon, namely in Beirut, Dbayeh, and Kfardebian, and abroad in Yerevan, Armenia; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; and serving a menu at Four Seasons Maldives.
