Lebanon Is Only One Match Away From Qualifying For The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023

Lebanon’s National Basketball Team is about to qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 for the fourth time in its history.

According to the National News Agency (NNA), the Cedars have previously qualified for the FIBA Basketball World Cup in 2002, 2006, and 2010.

The Lebanese National Basketball Team is one match away to qualify for the awaited cup after the team’s latest victory over the Philippines yesterday, with Lebanon scoring 85 – 81 in the FIBA Basketball World Cup, Asian Qualifiers.

In front of a large crowd, the Lebanese players showcased a massive performance after holding off the world-class player Jordan Clarkson, and the Philippines Men’s National Basketball Team together.

The Cedars will be facing the Indian team on Monday, August 29, which could decide their qualification if they overtake their opponent.

Lebanon’s U18 Basketball Team also qualified on Wednesday for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup 2023, which will be hosted by Hungary next year.
