Consumer Price Inflation In Lebanon Just Reached 50 Percent

The Central Statistics Administration announced that the consumer price index in Lebanon for the month of July 2022 recorded an increase of 7.42 percent in relation to the month of June 2022.

This figure was also recorded at the governorate level as follows:

  • An increase in Beirut governorate of 10.40 percent.
  • In Mount Lebanon, an increase of 6.36 percent.
  • An increase in the North Governorate of 8.09 percent.
  • An increase in the Bekaa governorate of 8.89 percent.
  • An increase in the southern governorate of 6.32 percent.
  • An increase in the governorate of Nabatiyeh of 6.62 percent.

The Central Statistics Administration pointed out that “the consumer price index in Lebanon for the month of July 2022 recorded an increase of 168.45 percent compared to the month of July 2021.”

It added that the consumer price inflation during the first seven months of the year reached 50 percent.
