Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati is intensifying diplomatic efforts to keep Lebanon out of the ongoing Hamas-Israel war. Mikati, who recently visited Qatar, plans to tour other countries to rally support.
He emphasized that time is crucial to prevent the conflict from spiraling out of control and affecting Lebanon and the broader region. The Prime Minister’s comments come ahead of Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah’s upcoming speech.
Amid Lebanon’s political and economic crises, Mikati condemned Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon and Gaza, calling for a five-day humanitarian ceasefire. He criticized the international community’s silence and urged national solidarity in Lebanon.
