Lebanon took the lead in group A of the West Asian Qualifiers and qualified for the Asian Futsal Championship in Kuwait, after the team’s 2nd victory in the 2nd round of the competition held in Fujairah, UAE.
Lebanon’s second victory was against Palestine on Wednesday, when the Lebanese team scored 6-3, with Ahmed Khaireddine scoring 4 goals out of 6. The goalkeeper Karim Jouidi was also one of the “champions” during the match.
Lebanon will conclude the matches on Thursday with a match with the Saudi Arabian team, one of the first teams to qualify. Lebanon needs a draw to ensure the team stays top of their group.
