On Tuesday, the qualifiers were drawn for the 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with 44 teams participating in the 2023 finals held in the Uzbekistan capital, Tashkent.
Scheduled between September 10 to 18, the 10 group winners and the 5 best runners-up will join the host, Uzbekistan, in the 2023 Finals.
Lebanon was qualified for Group I, along with Tajikistan (hosts), Cambodia, and Singapore, where the Lebanese team will play at the Dushanbe Stadium.
Saudi Arabia will host Group A competitions at Prince Fahd bin Muhammad Stadium in Dammam, which includes Uzbekistan, Maldives, Myanmar, and China.
Group B includes Bahrain (the host) along with Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Qatar.
Yemen and Palestine are in Group C along with Laos (hosts), Guam, and Japan.
Jordan will host Group D competitions at the University of Science Stadium and including Jordan, Northern Mariana Islands, Turkmenistan, Syria, and China Taipei.
The groups are as follows:
Group E: Mongolia (hosts), Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and South Korea.
Group F: Indonesia, East Timor, Hong Kong, and Vietnam.
Group G: Oman, Afghanistan, Philippines, and Thailand.
Group H: Iraq (hosts), Kuwait, India, and Australia.
Group J: Kyrgyzstan, Brunei Darussalam, UAE, and Iran.
