The Minister of Public Health in the caretaker government, Dr. Firas Al-Abyad, received Turkish donations of medicines from the Turkish Ambassador, Ali Barış Ulusoy, which included 11 containers of medicines and medical supplies.

This was in the presence of the Secretary-General of the High Relief Commission, Major General Mohammad Khair, in the medicine warehouse of the Health Ministry at the Lebanese University (LU).

Major General Khair stated that the donation will be distributed to government centers and hospitals, thanking Turkey for standing by the Lebanese people during these difficult times.

Expressing his country’s hope that the donation will help the people during the crisis, Turkish ambassador Ulusoy noted that the donated medicines “will go to primary care centers and to patients who are not able to get their medicines from pharmacies.”

This donation will be distributed free of charge in the primary care centers of the Lebanese Health Ministry.
