The Cedars held a final training session on Thursday under the supervision of coach Michael Cheika, who finalized the plans for the match.

“Our focus throughout the week has been on preparing to face Australia, and we have the will and determination to achieve a good result and to continue to show the true image of the Lebanese team in the strongest tournaments,” he added.

The Lebanese national team was part of its qualification for the 2025 World Championship, finishing second with 4 points behind leaders New Zealand with 6 points in the first round of Group D after losing to New Zealand and beating Ireland and Jamaica.
