Lebanon’s Women’s Football Team concluded its participation in the 7th WAFF Women Championship 2022, by defeating its Syrian counterpart in the 3rd and final round hosted at the Petra Stadium in Amman, Jordan.
The Lebanese Women’s Football Team succeeded to win against Palestine in the 1st round with a score of 3-0, before losing to the Jordanian team 2-1 in the second round.
It then achieved a great victory against the Syrian team in the last round, 5-2. With this result, “The Cedars” team ranked 2nd in the championship with 6 points behind the Jordanian team.
Additionally, one of the Lebanese National Team Players, Lily Iskandar, was chosen as the best player in the 7th WAFF Women Championship 2022.
