Lebanon Was The Runner-Up In The 9th West Asian Championship In Jordan

The Lebanese under-16 team was runner-up in the 9th WAFF U16 Boys Championship, hosted by the Jordanian Football Federation.

Lebanon lost the final match against Jordan with the Jordanian team scoring 1-0, in the match held on Thursday, June 30, at the Aqaba Stadium.

After the end of the match, the Lebanese team received the second-place medal, where the goalkeeper of the Lebanese team, Jad Jawhar, was selected as the best guard in the championship.

According to the Lebanese Football Association, the U16 team qualified for the final for the first time in its history after beating its Iraqi counterpart 1-0 in the semi-finals.

The young team finished second in Group B with 6 points from two wins over Kuwait and Palestine, and a single loss to Syria, which leads the group.
