“Love Is Blind Habibi” is a spin-off of the well-known US dating show on Netflix. As the name suggests, the show thrives to prove that love prevails beyond looks.
The Habibi spin-off brings together single men and women from the Arabic-speaking world to test that theory.
After connecting in the pods and getting engaged, couples who move on to the next stage must strengthen their bond during the honeymoon phase.
Where better to do so than in a dreamy resort? The resort in question is Eddésands in Byblos, Lebanon.
On their first date outside the pods, each of the couples enjoyed lunch at one of the different and gorgeous lunch spots the resort offers. They spent their time there relaxing, getting pampered, lounging around the stunning pools, and getting to know each other under the sun on the sandy dreamy beach.
Aside from that, they did not waste a minute outside of the resort either. They made the most out of their stay in Lebanon and discovered various date spots.
Shafiq and Dounia went on to have a reconciliation breakfast at La Crêperie in Jounieh, followed by a horseback riding session. Later on, they also visited Chafic’s grandparents in Achkout, which by the way, is an incredibly scenic road trip.
Safa and Mohammed enjoyed a picnic on Lebanon’s picturesque shoreline with the waves crashing in front of them, while Karma and Ammar embraced the waves on a pleasant boat ride.
It’s safe to say that the couples did not get bored during their stay, but who could get bored in Lebanon?
Oh, by the way, the Lebanese charm did not leave them even after they had left Lebanon. Back in Dubai, Lebanese wedding planner Rima Maalouf worked on helping couples plan their dream wedding.
The beautiful brides-to-be picked their dresses at Esposa, a Lebanese-owned bridal and evening dresses store that has been growing since 1987 and is run by the three Romanos sisters.
The grooms got their fair share of the exquisite Lebanese Fashion style. Ejjeh 1926, also a Lebanese family business, got to work on finding and tailoring the perfect suits for the husbands-to-be.
Safa and Mohammed took us ring shopping at Yasser Younes Jewellery, a Lebanese-owned store kickstarted by Yasser Younes at just 17 years old! Today it’s a global jewelry store that designs and develops high quality and precious pieces.
To say that Lebanon and Lebanese businesses took over the show would be an understatement! The beauty of Lebanon and the vibrant creativity of its people shone through in every detail.
