Deputy Speaker Elias Bou Saab revealed the expected date for the completion of the demarcation agreement and the mechanism by which the agreement will be signed.
Bou Saab said in an interview with Al-Hurra channel, that the agreement should be signed on the 26th or 27th of this month under the flag of the United Nations in Naqoura, near the Israeli border.
It is not clear who exactly will sign the agreement on behalf of Lebanon as the decision is made by the president of Lebanon.
He also called for demarcating the border with Syria in the North and said an agreement with Syria is less difficult.
Bou Saab assured the Lebanese that the international community would not accept tampering with the money that would later come to the sovereign fund. He said, “France, Europe, America, and the whole world have become aware of Lebanon in this matter.”
