Lebanon wins over China in 2019 FIBA World Cup qualification

Go big or go home! The Lebanese basketball team won over China in the 2019 FIBA World Cup qualifier Thursday night. The game ended with a memorable 92-88!

The matchup took place at the Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex in Zouk Mikael. Six thousand fans attended the game.

The Lebanese team will head to New Zealand for its next game which will take place on September 17. China is going home to host Jordan at the Wukesong Sports Center in Beijing.

The qualification process will determine which teams will participate at the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup which will take place in China.

In the second round of the qualifiers, the three best teams of each group and the best 4th placed team will qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019.

As for China, the host country, all the results related to its previous games will be taken into account for the final standings.

This will be the 18th edition of the FIBA Basketball World Cup for men’s national basketball teams. 

The games will take place in eight sports centers that can seat more than 12,000 people each.
