Lebanon retained the title of the 3rd West Asian Football Federation (WAFF) U18 Girls Championship after beating the Syrian team 5-1 in the final match held at Fouad Chehab Stadium in Jounieh, Lebanon.
Lebanon’s goals were scored by Amina Karima in minutes 43 and 61, Christie Maalouf in minute 45+2, Hiba Alloush in minute 47, and Evelina Haddad in minute 83, while the Syrian national team scored in minute 59.
The President of the Lebanese Football Federation, Hachem Haidar, handed over the trophy to Lebanon’s captain, Amina Karima, and distributed gold medals to the winners, while Christy Maalouf received the Best Player Award.
Additionally, Lebanon (A) topped the group stage with a full score of 9 points, followed by Syria (6 points), Jordan (3 points), and Lebanon B, 4th, without any points.
It is worth noting that the Lebanese team had previously won the title of the 2nd edition, which was held in Bahrain in 2020.
