Lebanon’s economic bodies, spearheaded by former Minister Mohamed Choucair, have issued a stark warning that the country, already reeling from a four-year economic and financial crisis, cannot afford another war.
The statement highlights Lebanon’s precarious state, citing governmental paralysis, political divisions, and various crises, including the Syrian displacement issue.
The committee calls for adherence to UN Resolution 1701, unity among political forces, and international intervention to prevent further destabilization.
