Lebanon’s Iconic Phoenicia Hotel In Beirut Is Opening Back Again

Phoenicia Hotel Beirut

After closing for two years due to damages caused by the Beirut port explosion, the Phoenicia Hotel Beirut will reopen its doors with all of its services, as of October 3rd, 2022.

The reopening will include all of the hotel’s facilities, restaurants and room services, Phoenicia SPA, the business center, and conference rooms, as well as the Grand Ballroom.

“We are excited to start hosting you again and getting back to doing what we know and love best – creating wonderful memories for you,” said the hotel in a statement.

Phoenicia Hotel Beirut is one of Lebanon’s most famous landmarks. It first opened in 1961 and hosted through the years royalty, world leaders, and renowned celebrities like Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, Marlon Brando, and many more.

Located in what was once known as “the hotels’ area”, the iconic hotel stood as a witness and a target of the armed conflicts of Lebanon’s 15-year civil war.

It rose again afterward amid all the destruction and chaos and is rising now again to hopefully come to live another golden age.
