French President Emmanuel Macron is set to visit Lebanon on December 24, announced a media report on Thursday.
Macron will first attend the Baghdad-2 meeting in Amman, Jordan, before making his way to Lebanon.
According to Annahar, “during his presence in the region, Macron will head to Lebanon for a few hours to inspect the troops of the French contingent operating within the UNIFIL force in south Lebanon.”
Macron has visited the country on multiple occasions, especially in 2020 after the Beirut Port Explosion to show France’s solidarity with the people of Lebanon.
