On Wednesday, August 17th, a video of a Syrian man beating child laborers in the West Bekaa village of Gaza went viral.
Shortly after, Lebanese Internal Security Forces announced that it had arrested the man.
Moreover, statements were taken from the children in the presence of a representative from the human rights organization Himaya.
According to the caption of the video tweet, the man is a Syrian national who supervises that agriculture work in Lebanon. “He torments Syrian children who work under his command to secure a livelihood for their families,” the Twitter user noted, calling him “savage criminal.”
