In yet another horrific child abuse case, a man has been arrested in southern Lebanon after burning his daughter for making noise.

On June 22nd, the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces (ISF) received information about an individual abusing his daughter within the area of Tyre, the ISF said in a statement on Wednesday.

After conducting an investigation, the branch identified the location of the incident to be Bourghlieh.

The suspect was identified as “W.H.” (35, Palestinian) and was arrested in the Houche neighborhood near Tyre.

During his interrogation, the man confessed to having burned multiple areas of his daughter’s body using a heated knife.

The reason behind this, he claimed, was complaints he had received from his neighbors about the noise that his children would make. The necessary legal measures have been taken against the suspect, based on a judicial notice.

The ISF has posted pictures showing the burn marks on the child’s body, including on her shin and lower back.
