Over the weekend, the Lebanese Youth Power and La Keserwan organized an event to break the Guinness World Record for the Largest Apple Jam Jar in the World.

Over two days, Mayrouba’s apple farmers managed to set the record by preparing 1,500 kg of apple jam.

Mayrouba is a village rich with orchards of golden and mouwashah apples.

Mayrouba and other villages, such as Baskinta, account for 35% of Lebanon’s apple production. This was to support Lebanese farmers and encourage local production.

Lebanon has broken the Guinness World Record more than 40 times, with the 16-years-old Lebanese Hassan Dawy setting a new record a couple of months ago.
