The best airlines in the Middle East have been unveiled in TripAdvisor’s annual Traveler’s Choice Awards. Emirates topped the list and Lebanon’s national carrier airline, Middle East Airlines (MEA), ranked second.

Every year, TripAdvisor releases its Travelers’ Choice Awards. It relies on feedback from the TripAdvisor community. The travel planning and booking site ranks hotels, restaurants, beaches, museums, landmarks; you name it!
Reviewers rated airlines for several characteristics including legroom, customer service, cleanliness, food and beverage, seat comfort, value for money, check-in and boarding, and in-flight entertainment.
MEA flies to 32 destinations and has codeshare agreements with 14 airlines. It offers direct flights to countries in the Middle East, Europe, the Gulf, and Africa.
The airline has two female pilots: Rola Hoteit and Erica Chbeir. The latter joined the crew this year!
