Over 1000 Meals Were Collected For Street Cleaners In Lebanon!

Over a week ago, Ahmad Sherkawi,

sent out a tweet

hoping to collect food for street cleaners in Lebanon. Things took off so quickly that we had to

create a special post to follow the live updates

. In a matter of days, many restaurants, companies, businesses and municipalities donated food, water, their time and other services to support this initiative. Ahmad initially asked for 100 meals. Within 4 days, they received 1,010 meals, 100 goodie bags and 2,400 good bags. They have already distributed 200 meals and 500 food cans. The rest of the donations will be distributed this coming week and the schedule is as such:

Tuesday, May 2: Tripoli

Wednesday, May 3: Beirut

Thursday, May 4: Tyre

Friday, May 5: Zahle
