The United States recently came out of a highly contentious election that ended with a proper transition of power amid worries about former President Donald Trump‘s ambiguous intentions.

Despite stepping away from the Oval Office, Trump remained in the limelight even after President Joe Biden took office in January.

Part of the reason for this was Trump’s impeachment trial for inciting an insurrection at the Capitol on January 6th.

The trial started on January 9th and ended with Trump’s acquittal on Saturday, the Senate voting 57-43 to acquit the former president.

Curiously, in the international section of his forecast for 2021, Michel Hayek made the following prediction about Trump:

“In the ‘wins and loses’ way, also simultaneously, he hands over and doesn’t hand over at the same time.”

This prediction is not the only one about the U.S. and Trump that seemed to ring true since the start of 2021.

In his forecast for the year, Hayek predicted that “the big churn will be in Washington. Its events will be clear to the public, and its causes are many and interlaced.”

The prediction seemed to correlate with the aforementioned violent events that erupted on January 6th, during which rioters stormed the Capitol building for the first time since 1814.

The year has only just begun, and Michel Hayek‘s predictions for it are plenty. Here is every 2021 prediction Hayek made for Lebanon, the Middle East, and the rest of the world.
