Middle East Airlines has unveiled its new training center. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest technologies and tools that offer a good training for pilots, flight attendants,and staff members. The 7-storey-center has a total area of 43,500 m2. It contains a pilot training section that includes a flight simulator for the Airbus A320, a fixed airbus pilot transition, a computer-based training tool, and a lounge for pilots. New pilots will be able to train, and old pilots will be able to renew their licenses there. The center has also dedicated a training unit for air hosts and hostesses who will learn about safety and security. This space comprises mobile simulators to simulate various scenarios for emergencies and evacuation of an aircraft which is surrounded by a swimming pool. This area also accommodates a fire department and a real plane model. The training department of the land and management staff offers training in commercial affairs, ground handling, customer services, management, and civil aviation laws and regulations. The dome, which is attached to the main building, contains an auditorium, a reception hall, and an entrance area. It can accommodate 300 people. Other sections of the center include a library, a ground and administrative crew training area, a section for aircraft maintenance, and more than 500 offices. MEA, which is the national flag-carrier airline of Lebanon, is always looking forward to improving its customer service. Thanks to this new center, the training of the crew will enhance to offer a better experience for MEA passengers.
