The employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Lebanon have started an open strike after securing credits for repairing the ministry’s electric generator became reportedly “impossible.”
The contract for cleaning offices was suspended, and the inability to secure the necessary funds cut off the online connection with the Ministry of Finance.
The strike will materialize in a complete paralysis in regards to the issuance of passports to expats and the cessation of the authentication process of the Lebanese at home and abroad.
It will also impact the students and the possibility of them continuing their educational attainment in foreign universities at the gates of a new academic year.
