The Ministry of Tourism just announced that, out of concerns for the health and safety of the citizens, it will now start shutting down with red wax all institutions/restaurants violating the lockdown.
The Ministry took the decision “after receiving several calls and complaints about violations committed by irresponsible touristic institutions and restaurants, and the failure of some businesses to comply with the Ministry’s decisions.”
The statement pointed out that delivery services and takeaway are still allowed “despite the difficult health conditions” that the country is currently going through.
The Ministry of Tourism also called on citizens to report any violation by calling the tourist police hotline 1735, which is available 24/7, or the complaints’ number 01 343127 within the official working hours.
