Almost every year, the Miss Lebanon ceremony revives a sense of nostalgia and intrigue, especially for fashion fans and social media activists.
With the recent crowning of Yasmina Zaytoun as Miss Lebanon 2022, Lebanon will now have its beauty and elegance representative contesting for the titles of Miss World and Miss Universe.
The event, which was held at Forum De Beyrouth, brought back memories of past events and fashionable Lebanese “Beauty Queens” and the Lebanese Fashion History IG page took this opportunity to reflect on Miss Lebanon’s fashion.
Run by Joe Challita, a researcher, designer, and consultant, the Lebanese Fashion History on Instagram takes the Lebanese people on a journey to Lebanon’s golden age!
This time, it showcased a selection of what Miss Lebanon wore in contests of Miss World and Miss Universe to present Lebanon’s culture and heritage.
Challita expressed that this segment is key to emphasizing Lebanon’s fashion heritage.
The designer also wanted to reflect on the need to put more effort to design costumes with historical relevance taking into consideration the “designer’s personal touch.”
