The percentage of Lebanese women voting in Beirut II is 25% so far whereas that of men is 20%, according to an MTV reporter.

This year’s Lebanese elections have witnessed an increase in the number of female candidates running for the elections in comparison to the 2018 elections.

Their percentage is 37% higher than that of the 2018 elections, with 113 women from across the country running for parliament.

These numbers are a major improvement from those of previous years, in which the number of women running in 2009 was 12 whereas that of 2005 was only 4.
