A Lebanese mountaineer named Karim Ramadan aims to be the first person to solo ski across Lebanon, according to
. Karim has extensively skied and climbed in Lebanon and abroad. His journey, which will last from five days till one week, will begin in East Tripoli and end in Chouf. The mountaineer will cover 120 to 130 km. Karim wants to challenge his limits and do something he has never done before. He stated that the lack of snow this year prevented him from training well. Since it snowed recently, Karim trained only for a couple of weeks. He also mentioned that there is a huge potential for mountaineering in Lebanon and foreigners might be interested. That’s why he wants to start a group called “Lebanese Alpine Club” to offer free training and guidance to people from abroad. We wish him the best of luck!
