Hezbollah’s MP Hussein Hajj Hassan announced on Monday his PCR results that came out positive, therefore committing him to quarantine at home.
“I apologize to everyone I may have contacted recently (from October 9th until November 1st), for I was not aware of my infection and I hope that I did not transmit the infection to anyone, despite all the preventive measures and health measures I took,” Hajj Hassan announced in a tweet on Monday.
From Friday, October 9th, to Saturday, October 31st, the Hezbollah MP conducted five PCR tests to ensure that he was not infected with the coronavirus and the results were negative. Yet, after undertaking a PCR test for the sixth time on Sunday, the result came out positive.
The Ministry of Public Health announced on Monday 1,080 new coronavirus cases, raising the total number to 83,697.
The Ministry also reported 9 death cases in the past 24 hours.
