It’s been a while since Lebanese people have been receiving mysterious phone calls from international numbers, mainly from Russia. The Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) announced on Facebook that these are phone scams and that we should not answer these calls. In fact, receiving these calls does not result in any harm or damage. However, the ISF warned the users against calling back these numbers as you can lose credits since international calls are expensive. According to
, a security expert named Fayad Atwi explained that data could be stolen when the users install third-party applications from unknown sources. Also, the recent scams aim at stealing phone credits. In short, avoid answering mysterious calls or calling back these numbers at all costs.
