Netflix has officially announced the Arabic version of the smash-hit Italian movie Perfect Strangers to be released on January 20th.
The Arabic version, which will be streamed worldwide, is the 18th remake of this Italian movie, “the most remade film in cinema history,” according to Netflix.
Titled أصحاب… ولا أعزّ (Friends… and No Dearest), the movie brings together an outstanding cast of acclaimed actors in the region, along with the award-winning director and actor Nadine Labaki.
The stars in the movie also include Georges Khabbaz, Adel Karam, Mona Zaki, Fouad Yammine, Diamand Abou Abboud, and Eyad Nassar.
The movie is about 7 close friends who get together for a dinner and decide to play a fun game that involves them openly answering and reading out loud every call, voice message, and text.
The game starts with them having fun and eventually turns into “chaos” when secrets start coming to light.
The movie was directed by Wissam Smayra and produced by Front Row Filmed Entertainment, a leading MENA Independent Film Distributor, Film Clinic, Empire Entertainment, Yalla Yalla, executive producer Mayada El-Hiraki, composer Khaled Mouzanar, and written by Wissam Smayra and Gabriel Yammine.
The movie will be available on Netflix in 190 countries, subbed in 31 languages, and dubbed in 3 languages.
