Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Lebanon Dr. Yasser Alawi affirmed his country's support for the stability in Lebanon, considering that it requires accelerating the formation of a government that meets the aspirations of the Lebanese street.
Ambassador Yasser Alawi stated that the new government is a national necessity as it is a necessity for the international and Arab community to be able to provide the required support to Lebanon. He believes that Lebanon has the ability to exit this crisis.
Alawi's words came during his visit to Sidon at the invitation of MP Bahia Hariri, who noted the permanent standing of the Arab Republic of Egypt alongside Lebanon and its support for the will and aspirations of the Lebanese to stabilize, rise, and overcome all crises.
During the meeting, they discussed the general situation in Lebanon, the bilateral relations between Lebanon and the Arab Republic of Egypt and issues of common concern.
Also, the historical and social ties between Sidon and Egypt were discussed over lunch, hosted by Bahia Hariri in honor of Ambassador Alawi. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Yasser Alawi expressed his firm belief that "Lebanon has the ability to surpass and exit the prevailing crisis."
Indeed, Lebanon is in crisis, an escalating one, as the people stand every day more determined than ever not to back down from their demands. The recent nomination of the new prime minister Hassan Diab didn't concur with the aim of the revolution.
Earlier this week, President Michel Aoun tasked PM-assigned Hassan Diab with forming the country's next government. While the people rejected the new nomination, Hassan Diab told the public to give him a chance, promising to form a new government very soon.
On Saturday, he started at 11:00 AM the unbinding parliamentary consultations to create the new government. He met and received many related figures to discuss the formation of the new government.
