The concept of a City Sightseeing bus tour is not new. It originated in the UK in 1972 with the City Coach Liner of Ensignbus, which went on to develop in 1998 with the red livery in Seville, Spain, relaunching the touristic bus with the now-known double-decker feature. From there, the model extended globally.
In the year 2000, the City Sightseeing company started with just four tours, after which it became a very well-known feature that provides tour bus services in almost 100 locations worldwide, covering six of the seven continents.
The rapid growth of City Sightseeing compelled the company to also provide boat tours, sightseeing train tours, and guided walking tours.
As for us in Lebanon, this summer is going to be full of fun on bright red open-top, double-deckers roaming our cities!
