We are blessed in Lebanon to have so many options to savor, so whether you’re a local or coming in from abroad, we’ve narrowed it down to five spots that will satisfy that cold, creamy craving!
#1 Le Flocon (Antelias, Achrafieh)
If you’re looking for a more high-end ice cream parlor, Le Flocon (“the snowflake”) is an excellent option for freshly made, high-quality ice cream.
Their flavors range from fruity and fresh to creamy and denser, and their pain perdu is a must-try!!
They have two locations, one in Antelias (Metn) and the other in Achrafieh (Beirut).
#2 Popcity (Sanayeh)
Located in Sanayeh near Hamra in Beirut, Popcity is a novel place for a fresh ice cream popsicle. They offer a wide variety of flavors, like vegan lychee sorbet or the more indulgent brownies flavor.
Because of their fresh fruit and often vegan options, you can enjoy a sweet treat without so much of the guilt. They also do pop-ups around Lebanon at various events.
#3 Sibon (Various Locations)
Sibon is a popular favorite around Lebanon, and it’s evident from their various locations across the country. Chances are, there is one close to your neighborhood.
They offer extremely tasty Italian-style ice cream, or gelato, which comes in many flavors, often unique. For example, they have knefe flavored ice cream, so you can satisfy the craving without the heavy feeling throughout the day.
#4 Gelato Show (Various locations)
There are several locations around Lebanon, but the one in Jounieh on the highway in Kessrwan has the biggest selection of flavors.
The place is massive, and they even have boozy ice cream (18+) if you’re wanting an extra kick with your dessert.
Their flavors range from passionfruit to Kinder, and it’s a good place to stop by with family or friends on the way back from the beach coming from the North.
#5 Frooza Booza (Mar Mikhael & Reifoun)
Located in a side street in Mar Mikhael, Beirut, Frooza is a unique ice cream parlor that offers natural ice cream presented in the traditional Thai-style rolled up way.
There is a range of flavors from fruity to creamy, and you can choose from a wide selection of toppings. You have the option to choose yogurt, as well, if you want to stay on the healthier side. This bouza will have you feeling happy in no time!
