Number of tourists in Lebanon to keep growing

2017 is a good year for the Lebanese tourism. During the first eight months of 2017, 5,538,185 people traveled to and from Beirut Airport. Due to the increase in the number of tourists, the capacity of Beirut – Rafic Hariri International Airport will be

expanded

to accommodate 5 million extra passengers. According to

sources

, the Secretary-General of the Hotel Owners’ Association Wadih Kanaan believes that the number of tourists will reach 1.9 million by the end of this year. Kanaan mentioned that flights arriving from the Gulf and Africa are fully booked on December 22-23 and from December 19 until December 26 respectively.
