The state-run National News Agency reported that due to the strike carried out by the Ogero workers and employees union, centers in Hamra, Sidon, Nahr, Beiteddine, Damour, and Nabatieh have stopped working, and are completely out of service.

It is expected that other centers will be out of service within hours, causing the Internet service and communications to stop completely.

Ogero landlines and the internet service stopped in Marjayoun Caza, and Alfa and Touch coverage was almost completely suspended.

It is noteworthy that the employees, through their strike, which began yesterday, are demanding a salary improvement. They demand that their salaries be calculated on a banking rate to match the high revenues of the telecommunications sector.

This comes after the increase in the telephone bill, while the salaries remained the same amid a significant increase in the cost of hospitalization and medicine.
