Independent and opposition candidates will not be submitting a white slip in the parliament election session, on Tuesday, May 31. They will reportedly vote for worthy names and causes they support.

The parliament presidency is expected to remain in Nabih Berri’s grasp, however, the outcome of the position of the parliament speaker’s deputy is yet to be determined.

The running candidates for that position are Independent MP Dr. Ghassan Skaf, Former Minister of Defense Elias Bou Saab, and MP Sajih Attieh.

Lebanon Elections 2022 were shrouded in a change-seeking atmosphere. It remains to be seen whether the coming Parliamentary session and thereon will be as well.
