During a recent meeting with the United States Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed the Palestinian Authority’s readiness to resume its role in governing the Gaza Strip.
However, Abbas emphasized that this return is contingent upon a “comprehensive political solution” to the ongoing conflict.
He further elaborated, stating, “The Gaza Strip is an integral part of the State of Palestine, and we will bear our full responsibilities within the framework of a comprehensive political solution for both the West Bank, including East Jerusalem and the Gaza Strip.”
