Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Called For An Presidential Election Session Next Thursday

The Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri called on the parliament to conduct a second presidential election session next Thursday, October 13th at 11:00 AM.

The first session took place on Thursday, September 29, 2022, but failed to elect a president.

The first round ended with 36 votes for Michel Mouawad, 11 for Salim Edde, 63 blank votes, and 12 uncounted votes.

A second round didn’t take place because the session lost the quorum.
