A team from the General Directorate of State Security, in collaboration with an inspector from the Pharmacists Syndicate, has shut down a pharmacy in Akkar.
The closure follows intelligence received by the Directorate regarding the pharmacy’s sale of smuggled medicines. These medicines had not undergone the required laboratory and administrative checks before entering Lebanon.
Additionally, the pharmacy operated without the necessary licenses from the Ministry of Health and the Pharmacists Syndicate.
Noting that a few years ago, Lebanon launched a tracking program to prevent the smuggling of medicine.
