10+ gorgeous pictures of Faraya's first snow

Lebanese mountains filled with snow once again!

Winter in Lebanon is surely a chilling one. Abundant rain, hail, and snow yearly shower the country from October till March.

Temperature decreases with altitude, therefore winters in Beirut are not as strong as in mountains. However, the lowest temperature recorded in the capital is 0°C.

Snowfall on the mountains of Lebanon marks the beginning of ski season - a period many Lebanese people long for.

Over the last several years, there has been a reduction in precipitation, delaying the snow more and more.

The first snow fall recorded in Faraya (a region famous for its ski club and slopes) this year was on the 6th of December. Snow enthusiasts captured the first white landscape passionately.

Here are some pretty good pictures that documented the event.
