The village is characterized by Dar Al Mokhtara which is the residence of Druze leader Walid Jumblatt. This architectural masterpiece dates back to the 17th century!

Much like all the villages in Chouf, Mokhtara is full of traditional Lebanese houses. They are very well-preserved!

The food culture is magnificent in Mokhtara. You can have lunch next to waterfalls and rivers. There's nothing more relaxing than that!
