Great news for frozen yogurt lovers in Lebanon—Pinkberry is making its highly anticipated return!
After several years of absence due to the country’s economic crisis, the beloved frozen yogurt brand is set to reopen at ABC mall, thanks to a new Lebanese franchise deal.
Brain Bites, a new Lebanese food and beverage startup, spearhead the revival of Pinkberry in Lebanon. The company has taken over the franchising rights for Lebanon from regional powerhouse AlShaya, making Pinkberry the first brand Brain Bites will operate.
Following hiring posts from a month ago, signs of Pinkberry’s return were spotted at ABC Achrafieh, with a banner teasing “swirling again soon”. The official Pinkberry Lebanon Instagram account also confirmed the news, resharing posts from eager customers ready for their frozen yogurt fix.
Pinkberry’s closure years ago was a reflection of the challenging economic conditions in Lebanon, but its comeback now offers a glimmer of hope for the local food and beverage scene.
While Pinkberry will initially be exclusive to ABC, there’s anticipation that more locations might follow. The Pinkberry team told 961 that their anticipated opening is at the end of this month with no specific date yet.
For now, Lebanese frozen yogurt fans can celebrate the return of one of the most iconic dessert brands to the local market, and prepare to indulge in their favorite swirls and toppings very soon!
