The President of the Lebanese University (LU), Dr. Bassam Badran, considered that “the university professor’s salary has decreased significantly, which entails many burdens, and any support that will come to the Ministry of Education from donors will benefit the Lebanese University.”

Badran announced that “the exams for the year 2021/2022 are nearing their end in most faculties, and we are preparing for the start of the new academic year.”

“The state is required to take care of the university,” Badran went on to say.

It’s noteworthy that the Executive Board of the Association of Full-time Professors at the Lebanese University had confirmed earlier this week the continuation of the open strike and the commitment to a complete cessation of all academic work.
