Central Beirut is set to witness a unique New Year’s Eve as activist groups have organized a demonstration in response to the ongoing security situation in Southern Lebanon and Gaza.
Despite invitations for the event, the turnout is expected to be modest. Critics argue that most residents are likely to opt for traditional New Year celebrations or dining out, casting doubt on the expected participation in the protests.
