Protesters in Beirut expressed their anger outside the house of caretaker Interior Minister Mohammed Fahmi in solidarity with the protesters in Tripoli.
“Tripoli, we’re with you till death,” they chanted in support of the northern capital. Confronted by rows of security forces, the protesters began chanting against the minister.
Last night the revolutionary square in the north turned into a warzone as protesters were attacked with live ammunition by the security forces. As a result, one protester died and another is in critical condition.
Regardless, the protests in Tripoli persist for the fourth night in a row.
