A group of protesters from Akkar attacked the house of PM-designate Najib Mikati in Minet El Hosen, where they clashed with the Security Forces.

The protesters used rocks and iron barricades to destroy the glass at the entrance of the building, before trying to enter the building.

Among them was the brother of Joe Noun, a victim of the 4th of August Explosion, William Noun who was arrested by the Security Forces.

Anger is mounting in Lebanon in the aftermath of the Akkar explosion that killed dozens of people on Sunday morning at 2 A.M, in addition to countless wounded.

A heartbreaking video has been circulating online of a father crying over the loss of two of his children. “What do I tell my kids? That their siblings died for fuel?” he is heard weeping.

As of the time of writing, the Security Forces at Mikati’s residence are facing the protesters with vicious attacks, and the fights between both sides are escalating.
